This “congratulations” post is a two-fer….two congrats in one post. First up is Andrew who completed his first solo flight on Sunday. A first solo needs the right conditions, both in terms of weather and preparedness. Some times the winds pick up beyond our limits for a first solo, sometimes a student gets nervous and has a less than perfect day behind the controls. Andrew never gave up, and when all conditions for the first solo checked out…he nailed it.

The other congrats is for CFI Ross Topik who completed his time with us….his last flight with Horizon being Andrew’s solo flight. Ross is on his towards the airlines and we couldn’t be prouder of him. Well done and best of luck, Ross.
