To Our Valued Customers:
The Horizon Aviation team is committed to providing our customers with a safe and fun learning environment. As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, we are taking extra precautions to mitigate its exposure to our customers and staff, following best-practices currently outlined by the Centers for Disease Control.
Our offices, lobbies, desks and airplane cockpits are being sprayed and wiped several times throughout each day. Customers are strongly encouraged to use their own headsets during their flight lessons. Our communal headsets will be sterilized after each use and those students who need to borrow the communal headsets will have new mic muffs available to them.
As conscientious aviators, we are taught to examine every situation and determine the best course forward for ourselves and our passengers. For example, we use the “IMSAFE” checklist to preflight ourselves and make sure we are prepared and capable of flying safely. Using this checklist before you engage in public activities is a prudent and responsible act and we urge each of our customers to do so.
Any customer with questions about their flight training or the steps we are taking to help mitigate the effects of COVID-19 is welcome to call our offices. We will continue to fly while monitoring and receiving guidance from local and federal health officials. The well-being of our customers and staff is our top priority while we all work toward our goals as pilots.
