The annual Rhode Island Guard Open House and Air Show is coming up on June 9th and 10th. This year we get to see the return of the US Navy Blue Angels for the first time in several years. We’ll also witness the first Rhode Island appearance of the brand new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Air show legends Sean D. Tucker, and Michael Goulian are set to perform, along with the Ace Maker T-33, Geico Skytypers, F4U Corsair, P-51, TBM Avenger, and the Shockwave Jet Truck.
Horizon Aviation will have our air show center set up on the north side of the ramp towards the “hot ramp.” All of our students and customers are welcome to stop by and say hello. If you are interested in volunteering with us for a day, let us know! You’ll get to talk to air show attendees about how you learned how to fly, and how they can get started.
